About Boring Boys
Being Boring was never the plan...but it turned out better than we expected.
Hi! I'm Gabrielle, founder and creative force behind Boring Boys.
Story time...Boring Boys started as an inside joke.
One night, a group of friends skipped the bar and chose milkshakes instead. Sitting in an ice cream shop, I jokingly called my husband Marc and his friend “boring boys” and made a logo on my phone. What started as a joke quickly felt like something more.
Marc, the original “boring boy” and co-founder, wasn’t always this way. He used to be the life of the party—the guy who never missed a night out. In 2015, he made the decision to get sober so he could be more present for our family. Late nights turned into milkshake runs, and chaos turned into clarity.
And while the lifestyle changed, his presence didn’t. Marc’s confidence, work ethic, and authenticity still draw people in—he just doesn’t feel the need to prove anything anymore.
We’ve been together since we were 15 and now have four kids. With my background in fashion and design, I started creating shirts inspired by our “boring” lifestyle—playful on the surface, but rooted in something deeper. When Marc started wearing them, strangers began stopping him everywhere asking where they could get one.
That’s when we knew we had something.
Boring Boys officially launched in 2023.
What is a Boring Boy?
Boring Boys is a fun, casual apparel brand that celebrates laid-back confidence and intentional living.
It’s for the guy who works hard, has played harder, and now chooses to enjoy life on his own terms.
He’s not anti-social — he’s selective.
He values his circle, his routine, and his downtime.
He doesn’t chase attention — yet somehow still commands it.
Not caring what people think is magnetic.
The designs are playful and humorous on the surface, but carry a deeper message about presence, confidence, self-awareness, and owning who you are.
More Than just apparel
Boring Boys isn’t just a clothing brand.
It’s a mindset.
A movement.
A gentle rebellion against chaos.
At its heart, Boring Boys celebrates both the quiet victories and the comeback stories. It honors growth, discipline, resilience, and choosing a better version of yourself — without preaching, without labels, and without judgment. Let’s be honest, the “boring” road is the road less traveled and the people who are able to find it deserve to be celebrated.
In many ways, the brand has become a quiet beacon of hope for people navigating sobriety, lifestyle change, and personal reinvention — but also for the families who support them. It’s a testament to the fact that life can get better, calmer, and more fulfilling on the other side when you make the hard choices.
There’s a true yet subtle carpe diem ethos behind the brand, not in a loud or reckless way, but in choosing to fully enjoy the life you’ve intentionally built.
a members-only mentality
Boring Boys is built to feel like a members-only club — recognizable to those in the know, earned rather than mass-produced, and rooted in mindset over trend. It’s about belonging to a community that values authenticity, confidence, humor, growth, and presence. People don’t just wear Boring Boys for the design — they wear it for what it represents. The playfulness is intentional — humor is how the message travels. The goal isn’t mass appeal, but cultural relevance, exclusivity, and lasting meaning.
The Bigger Picture
In honor of Marc's choice to get sober and all of the others who have done the same, a portion of every t-shirt sale goes to several programs that support addiction recovery and resources for families.
Boring Boys isn’t just about shirts — it’s about showing that real strength is found in staying steady, leading by example, and helping others do the same.
Welcome to the Laidback Revolution! You'll love it here.
